After obtaining professional ACMA (CIMA) membership in 2000 Franco ventured into alternative industries to gain experience as Financial and Logistics Manager in the digital marketing and printing environments. He later joined Consol Ltd, gaining manufacturing experience, where he was a member of the Exco team to realise Consol Ltd’s sale of their non-core business units.
Franco returned to the civil construction industry in 2006 to become one the youngest ever Financial Directors in the industry in the Western Cape. In 2012, Franco established Next Step Consulting, ready to apply his experience and knowledge to the SMME market.
Franco was awarded an opportunity in 2013 to take over the Managing Director position in one of the biggest landscaping companies in South Africa. His mandate was to restructure the company for future growth, but due to the liquidity of the company, he opted with the shareholders to rather enter into a business rescue option.
In 2015 Franco returned his focus on Next Step Consulting and successfully built a sound customer base. He continues to have a positive impact on SMME’s through his passion, approachable nature, and his ability to relate to all aspects of business.
His ability to relate makes him a true all round professional in getting to the optimal solution for your company’s strategic management needs. Currently he serves as Non-Executive Director on the board of some of his clients.
